Answer: The DigiReady Certification (DRC) is an initiative by the Quality Council of India (QCI) designed to assess and certify businesses on their digital readiness to conduct business online. This certification evaluates entities on various critical aspects such as digital infrastructure, product catalogue management, packaging, payment systems, and grievance redressal mechanisms, classifying them as either DigiReady or in need of support.

Q2. How does the DRC benefits?

Answer: DRC acts as a digital proficiency certificate, enhancing the credibility and reputation of MSMEs, SHGs, FPOs, Entrepreneurs, Artisans, and grassroots-level participants among customers and network participants. It provides these entities with access to a broader customer base through the ONDC, opening up new opportunities for growth and expansion in the digital marketplace.

Q3. What does the assessment process involve for obtaining DRC?

Answer: The DRC assessment is conducted through a digital platform provided by QCI, involving a self-checklist of 21 questions across seven modules, including digital infrastructure, product catalogue, payment systems, and more. Entities must satisfy the identified requirements to be classified as DigiReady. After the payment of nominal fee, the entity will receive an e-certificate.

Q4. What role do APIs play in the DRC process?

Answer: The DRC initiative uses APIs to verify the entities details through Udyam, GSTIN, FSSAI License, PAN, and Aadhaar, ensuring the authenticity and efficiency of the certification process.

Q5. Will the Digital Readiness Certification (DRC) be issued in my name or my business entity's name?

Answer: The Digital Readiness Certification (DRC) is issued to the business entity, not to an individual. The certification represents the digital readiness of your organization as a whole.

Q6. Can I update my entity name on the DRC portal?

Answer: The entity name is automatically fetched via respective APIs while registration. It cannot be edited on the DRC portal. However, you can update your email ID and SPOC phone number on DRC portal.

Q7. What are the main benefits for entities once they are onboarded onto the Network Participant (NPs) Platform?

Answer: Entities that are DigiReady and may onboarded on NPs platform gain access to a larger customer base, participate in a competitive and transparent marketplace, and leverage the digital ecosystem for sustainable business growth.

Q8. What happens if my PAN details are not verified during the DRC registration process?

Answer: Ensure that your PAN number, Date of Birth (DOB), and Applicant Name are entered exactly as they appear on your PAN card. If the details match, the verification will be completed successfully. If not, then the error message will appear. Participant can also verify themselves using Aadhaar ID.

Q9. What should I do if I experience a technical issue during the assessment?

Answer: If you encounter a technical issue during the assessment, you may reattempt it after an 8-hour interval. Participants are allowed up to 3 attempts. We recommend revisiting the Capacity Building Program before reattempting the assessment.

Q10. What should I do if I fail the DRC assessment?

Answer: If you fail the assessment, you will be directed to a Capacity Building tool to learn and improve your understanding of the relevant modules, allowing you to correctly attempt the questions during a reassessment.

Q11. What sectors are targeted by the DRC initiative?

Answer: The DRC initiative is applicable to all sectors, including manufacturing and services, ensuring that any business can enhance its digital capabilities and compete in the digital economy.

Q12. How can I receive the DRC certification after completing the assessment?

Answer: Upon successfully completing the assessment and passing the quality check, your DigiReady certification will be issued. For your details to reflect on the Certified Seller List, complete the payment process, if applicable.

Q13. What technical requirements do I need to meet for a smooth assessment process?

Answer: Ensure a stable internet connection and allow camera access on your browser. Have your GSTIN/Udhyam Number and ID proof ready before starting the assessment to avoid any interruptions.

Q14. What is the benefit of welcome kit?

Ans. Every seller receives a Welcome Kit, which includes downloadable resources such as catalogue management and inventory management tools. These tools are designed to guide you in maintaining inventory records and enhancing your digital operations.

Q15. How does the DigiReady portal streamline the seller journey?

Answer: The DigiReady portal offers a structured platform for entities to assess their digital readiness and obtain certification, helping them integrate seamlessly into digitized workflows and enhancing their operational efficiency and market reach.

Q16. How do GeM sellers register for the Digital Readiness Certification (DRC)?

Answer: GeM sellers can register for the DRC by following these steps:

Visit the DRC registration page.
Complete the basic details and enter the reference code provided by GeM on your registered email ID.
If the reference code matches, you will be prompted to enter your GeM Seller ID from the 'My Account' section of your GeM Portal profile.
After successful registration, proceed to complete the Capacity Building (CB) activity.
Your application will undergo a quality check, and if successful, you will receive your certification.
GeM sellers can obtain the DRC certification at no charge, by filling the reference code.

Q17. What should I do if the GeM reference code is not working?

Answer: Ensure the you receive the reference code from GeM on your registered email ID. If the reference code does not work during registration, ensure that you have entered correct code as provided by GeM on your registered email ID.
